The Ontario School Board Council of Unions (OSBCU) issued a statement saying, “There will be no job action tomorrow.” It further stated that the members would be reporting to their respective schools.

The union, which represents 55,000 CUPE education employees in Ontario, did not disclose any information on the agreement and advised its members to keep an eye out for updates regarding the ratification vote soon.

The union issued a five-day strike notice on November 17 due to the Ontario government’s failure to provide funding for essential student programs.
