I will be posting capsules of posts in the following weeks about our Kamm and Sneeper’s 2012 Mecha Contest. We figured that posting all the details of the competition in one post during the launch will be information overload. The amount of prizes and the rules and categories will be insane. So let me introduce our first co-sponsor…
HobbyMate owner Edmund Teo is the most generous person I have ever met in this lifetime. For those people who attended our MAC anniversary party back in August 2011, you personally experienced that generosity in the amount of raffle prizes HobbyMate gave away in the party! The MAC party was arguably the biggest Mecha / Gunpla party of any forums or club to date, mainly due to the support of two sponsors including HobbyMate.

Gundam diorama masterpieces @ MAC forums 100611
How many times have I said that we love Gundam dioramas at MAC forums? In fact we have created a separate section for dioramas in our forums many many moons ago, as we think that dioramas simply deserve their own. I am really proud to brag that in only a little over a year, we have 183 diorama entries in our diorama section!
Yes, 183 dioramas to inspire new and old members to create more of this rare masterpieces.Well here is another link fest of the most recent entries in our DIORAMA section. I have here 4 inspiring builds from our very talented MAC forums Gundam diorama modelers.
This is supposedly aor_or_die’s real Europe Gunpla Entry. However the resin kit Kshatriya was not allowed in the competition thus he settled for submitting just the MG Sinanju. It is always a treat to see a highly modified Gundam kit on top of a diorama, much more a couple of highly modified kits like this one.
Another diorama masterpiece from Italian modeler pggasta! This diorama is not as complicated as his other Gundam diorama masterpieces, but is definitely as stunning as his other works. A simple yet effective composition combined with his great weathering skills and very good storytelling skills, made this Gundam GP01 diorama an instant classic.
This is simply a very inspiring piece of work! This very busy and complicated hangar diorama was modeled by KING. Aside from the topnotch composition, nice photography and masterful weathering and painting… the amount of details on this 1/100 diorama is just insane! I also love the fact that it is not a Zaku or an RX 78 2 for a change. Looks so fresh giving the guncannon some spotlight.
One of my favorite Zeon MS is the Rick Dom, and I just love seeing this guy reinvented over and over again by other modelers. The painting, modifications and finishing of the kit itself is very good. I love the exposed thrusters on the butt in particular! The diorama is simple but blended very well with overall look of the kit. This very beautiful piece of work was modeled by new MAC forums member amitnetzer1.

Saying that this kit is stunning is definitely an understatement. I was roving around our forums when this build struck me lke lightning! This was shared to us and was modeled by new MAC forums member MENNIE. Great stuff for his first post as I sure will never forget his kit and his name! lol
Aside from the masterful job of mixing and painting the flesh tones, Beautiful photography and the sexy model kit what struck me the most is the painting of those beautiful blue eyes ( yeah really ). We sure have another great talent in our pool of talented modelers in the forums in MENNIE. Great masterpiece that I sure want to have in my display cabinet!

RG Gundam RX-78-2 by GUITARIST
